French Onion Soup Burger

This is a great burger to use leftover onions. Since caramelizing them does take time, you can simply sear them at a higher heat. Recipe works well with any Fulton burger patty.

Directions

  1. Cut onions in julienne from end to end. Do not cut salad slice. Sweat onions in oil with thyme sprig and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat and let caramelize until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove thyme sprig and mix in beef base.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise and Dijon.
  3. Season burger patties lightly with salt and pepper. Sear burger on both sides. Top with cheese and let melt.
  4. Spread mayo mixture on both sides of bun. Top bottom bun with burger, spread on caramelized onions, and top with crispy onions and arugula.
